About My Clients
Are you frustrated by seeing the same patterns pop up over and over? Struggling with emotional regulation, underlying anxiety or depression and feeling hopeless? You CAN feel better! Let's work together to find tools that bring out your calm, connected self so that you can shine in your work, relationships and life. I integrate clinical techniques with the science-backed modalities of yoga and mindfulness. This space is warm and welcoming for all of who you are.
My Background and Approach
Living a life that includes joy and ease is an experience we all deserve, and therapy can help! I use therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as mindfulness, meditation and yoga therapy, according to your needs. I have (truly) enjoyed working with adolescents and tweens individually and with their parents, as well as adults working with trauma, depression and anxiety. I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed to work with anyone in North Carolina, and see clients in person or via telehealth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there is a way for everyone to feel better, and I'm dedicated to helping you find the right resources. I have a background in yoga, and I've been teaching for a decade as a 500-hr Level 2 certified teacher. I struggled throughout my teens and adulthood with what I now understand to be extreme anxiety, and it was through mindfulness, a dedicated yoga practice and somatic therapy that I overcame the most difficult of my symptoms. I advocate for social justice and the LGBTQ community here in Western North Carolina.
