About My Clients
My clients are adults, adolescents, and couples navigating the challenges of acute and chronic medical conditions, chronic pain, trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties.
My Background and Approach
The tools that we will work on together I have honed through my work in a variety of clinical settings with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. I earned my PhD in Psychology at the University of Kansas with a training in Health Psychology and completed my pre-doctoral APA-accredited internship at the University of California, Los Angeles--where I was trained by experts in the fields of coping with acute and chronic health conditions. My training also included working in both inpatient and outpatient settings at a breadth of academic medical centers and specialty clinics including cancer, bariatric, epilepsy, and transplant clinics. Additionally, I completed additional clinical training through the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program. I am licensed as a psychologist in California (PSY 34494) and Kansas (LP 03309).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Beginning therapy for the first time or with a new therapist can be intimidating. My personalized approach combines a compassionate, strengths-based, and judgement-free space to explore your emotions and thoughts at your own pace.
