I am here to help you heal that "sore spot" at a pace that is safe for you, and regain your sense of self.
My Background and Approach
I am an EMDR therapist integrating tools from many different therapeutic approaches. In addition to EMDR, I have training and experience with Dialectical Behavioral (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing therapies. My focus is on helping you gain a sense of security and self-reliance through the use of mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation. I work on helping you defuse from those negative thought patterns and face situations with less judgement and more curiosity. I approach each session with an open mind and heart, and it is important to me that you are at the center of the work. Therefore, my approaches and strategies are adapted for your unique needs and experiences. Therapy should be transparent and authentic so that you can get the most out of our work together. It is my goal to create a therapeutic space that allows you to safely and non-judgementally explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
