About My Clients
I work with teens through older aged individuals, who have experienced some type of change to the brain. My experience also includes head and neck cancer, dysphagia and voice therapy. Your therapy plan is tailored to your needs, so you can achieve the goals most important to you and receive support and practical strategies along the way.
My Background and Approach
With close to 30 years of experience in the field of NeuroRehab, I have worked at all levels of medical care as a therapist and as an administrator. I'm well versed in evidenced based practice for speech, language, cognition therapies as well as for voice and swallowing. My ability to see beyond the challenges a client reports and relate those to real life experiences/goals is my superpower. I include the family, care partners and anyone important to the client, as I view recovery as a team effort.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all individuals have the ability to grow, change and learn even in the face of adverse circumstances. My approach includes a holistic view, focusing on the brain, the body and social connectedness.
