About My Clients
I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, relationship stress, and “doing all the things” while feeling overwhelmed. My clients are often busy professionals, caregivers, or young adults trying to find direction, build confidence, and break old patterns. If you're tired, overstretched, or stuck in your own head, I’m here to help you slow down, understand yourself, and create real, sustainable change.
My Background and Approach
I bring over 30 years of experience in human services and education to my counseling work. I draw from a strong foundation that includes a BS in Psychology, a master’s in Mental Health Counseling, and both K–12 teaching and principal certifications. My career spans crisis intervention, outpatient and inpatient mental health, and roles in schools, homes, and communities. I have supported adolescents, college students, and adults of all ages, including underserved populations. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered—grounded in compassion, practical skill-building, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the healing power of connection—especially the kind we experience with animals. Dogs and other fur companions offer a rare, non-judgmental presence that grounds us in ways words often can’t. I also believe that knowing what restores you is essential to mental health. For me, that means leaning into the outdoors, spending meaningful time with friends, family, and my fur children, and honoring the activities that genuinely refill my cup. These practices help me center myself so I can show up as the best version of me—for myself and for my clients. Self-care isn’t optional; it’s the foundation that allows me to be an effective, compassionate therapist.
