About My Clients
You're holding a lot. It might be a demanding job, a caregiving role, trauma, grief, religious harm, or a child who cut contact. Something underneath is costing you more than it should, and you've known it for a while. Anxiety is often part of it. You've done the work of understanding yourself, and it hasn't moved things. Many clients who find me are professionals who have solved most things in their lives except this.
My Background and Approach
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR to get to what's actually driving the patterns, not to manage them better. IFS gets curious about the parts of you that have been running things without your full awareness. EMDR helps the brain finish processing what it couldn't at the time. The work is active, not just reflective. Things happen in session, worked through together rather than talked about from a distance. Before becoming a therapist I spent years in healthcare administration. I know the environments my clients work inside and what it costs to perform at that level for a long time. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a good sense of humor to the work. I show up as a real person, not just a clinician. Sessions can go to difficult places and also have moments of lightness. Both belong. You already have what you need and my job is to help you find your way to it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Every part of your identity is welcome here. Race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, religion, alternative lifestyles, national origin, military status, disability...all of it has a place in this work. I don't come with an agenda for who you should become. What healing looks like is yours to define. I believe the pressure to be productive, self-sufficient, and endlessly resilient takes a real toll, and that people do better when they feel less alone in what they are carrying. Being in therapy myself is part of how I take care of myself and stay good at this work.
