About My Clients
I have experience working with indigenous populations, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, ADHD, burnout, self esteem issues, and spirituality. I am also a herbalist and have trained for several years in Traditional Mexican Medicine and have experience working with a textile called the Rebozo to support healing.
My Background and Approach
Throughout my career of over a decade, I have worked in various settings and communities throughout the country. I believe mental health is prevention and community medicine and as such, should be accessible to everyone. With this in mind, I work hard to create a space of inclusivity in my work. I believe that when given a safe environment, we naturally move towards healing and growth. It has been my experience that if we can have another human being attune to us and help us feel accepted, safe, and seen for all the parts of who we are, we are able to journey down the path that therapy invites us on with safety, compassion, and accountability.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have over a decade of experience working as therapist in various settings and communities throughout the country including in tribal government, schools, in-home, and outpatient settings. I have specialized training in Rebozo healing and herbalism. I support my clients to feel empowered as they learn the language of their bodies, increase self compassion and decrease shame, and build their supports in their communities as well as within themselves. I often utilize mindfulness and somatic experiencing techniques in my work with clients and overall I practice from a holistic lens. I believe that the biggest predictor of success in therapy is the therapeutic relationship. I also weave in my training in Traditional Mexican Medicine and herbalism if this is something that is in alignment with the client that I am working with.
