About My Clients
I work with individuals and families affected by substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. Many of my clients live in rural communities and are navigating recovery, parenting, relationships, court requirements, or rebuilding their lives after difficult experiences. I work well with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start but are willing to grow, be honest, and make changes over time.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor and social work graduate student with a background in leadership, business, and behavioral health. My work focuses on substance use disorders, recovery support, trauma, family systems, and life stability. I have experience working with individuals involved in the legal system, individuals in early recovery, and families impacted by addiction. My approach is direct, compassionate, and practical. I believe counseling should help people understand why they do what they do, learn how to regulate emotions, build healthy relationships, and create a life they actually want to live. I use elements of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, recovery based counseling, and strengths based approaches. I believe change happens through honesty, accountability, support, and learning new ways to think and live.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are capable of change no matter their past or current circumstances. I believe recovery is about more than just stopping substance use. It is about building a meaningful life, healthy relationships, purpose, and self respect. I believe in personal responsibility, growth, forgiveness, and learning from life experiences. I care deeply about rural communities, families, and making counseling accessible to people who might not otherwise have support. Outside of work, I value family, learning, being outdoors, traveling, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
