My Background and Approach
Through mindfulness based approaches, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as CBT ACT and DBT I help clients connect to their inner resources, enhance emotional regulation, and achieve lasting transformation. I have a strong solution oriented and relational approach coupled with a strong background in yogic philosophy. We can tap into spirituality and the importance of the connection between the mind and body while cultivating self compassion, or take a look at patterns of behaviors, experiences we have been through, relationships, grief, loss and confront those things head on. Therapy is one of the greatest acts of self-care and compassion we can show ourselves. My goal is to help you realign with the most authentic version of yourself to live the life you desire with tools to navigate a more balanced fulfilling life.I approach therapy with a deep understanding of each individual's unique experience in creating a healthy life balance and the importance of authenticity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the purpose of therapy is to uncover the most authentic version of our selves and our lives, and then learn how to deeply fall in love with that. Sometimes it is hard to make sense of the events that have come to pass, or understand why we went or are going through some of the things we are. At the end of the day we will always have ourselves, so feeling unapologetically grounded, confident and fulfilled with that person, trusting that we can do hard things because we have already gone through hard things, and uncovering our truest potential and strength is the goal. The purpose of therapy is to gather the tools, insights, and compassion to create the life we have always deserved and then to live that life one day at a time with integrity and faith.
