My clients are typically young adults and adults who experience depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, tough transitions, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I am a mental health counselor who specializes in working with young adults and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, tough transitions, and trauma. While my overall approach to therapy is person-centered, I tend to integrate into sessions CBT, IPT, psychodynamic, and a touch of Adlerian, ACT, and narrative. While some problems have easy solutions, some do not. I tend to adapt my therapeutic modality based on that. I am also neurodiversity-affirming and incorporate intersectionality into my work. My philosophy is that clients are collaborative in their treatment. While I have a major role and will not be passive in treatment, I acknowledge that clients have expertise in their own right. I know that for a lot of people, starting to attend therapy is tough. There is a lot of power in having a space to open up and I hope I can provide that space.
