About My Clients

Feeling stuck? Inner monologue like: “I’m not good enough”, "I'm letting everyone down", or just the perpetual anxiety loop? How about the 'I'm trying so hard for everyone but there’s left nothing me' feeling? These feelings suck. I work with adults on issues of anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship stuff, shame, family of origin stuff and burnout with the goal of improving self-esteem and instead to be more a bit more self-compassion and kind with themselves.

My Background and Approach

We’re all human and need someone on our side. You know you best and I'm just here to give you more tools to shine! You deserve peace, compassion, and all the positive vibes. I believe in a person-center approach where I am not the expert. You are. After working 12 years in the mental health field with a variety of clients, one thing remains: individualized care. Care is tailored to you. I use skills from things like DBT, ACT, and IFS 'sprinkled' into our conversation with the aim of making things personally relevant for you. In addition to evidence based treatments I love using good metaphors and pop culture references to help educate and further make these things more accessible to the average person. I have a special passion for neurodivergent topics, attachment styles, anxiety/OCD treatment, and have taken (and will continue to take) several trainings to increase my competency.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I wear many hats. In addition to being a social worker/ therapist, I am Puerto Rican women who is a late ADHD-er/neurodiverse person herself. I’m a mom of 2 neurospicy children (who are wild and wonderful). I am a crocheter, knitter, fiber artist with a million works in progress. I love continuing education and have a ‘to be read’ list that is approximately 17 million miles long. I believe learning is forever and enjoy signing up for trainings to make sure I am staying on top of current treatment protocols and best care practices. I'm a passionate individual who wants the best for my clients and loved ones and who works hard to practice what I preach.
