About My Clients

You've tried everything. You're not sleeping, and you are exhausted. You find yourself pushing people you love away because fear is beginning to take over. You want to trust others, but memories of how people have hurt you in the past keep taking over your thoughts. You've held it together for so long, but you can feel everything you've worked hard for slipping through your fingers. You look around at your life and see everything crumbling and you aren't sure you are going to make it out alright

My Background and Approach

Imagine feeling your body relax, of sleeping through the night, and not feeling that jolt of fear that happens each time you get startled. With therapy, you can get to the root of the hurt you fe experience the relief that you are craving. If you have tried therapy before and aren't sure it's worth it to try again, EMDR Therapy may be a perfect fit. It's important for you to know could sit across from me and feel heard and understood. As a certified EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapist, I believe in the therapies I use- so much in fact I've done them myself! I also believe in the power of connection. If you're curious if we could be a good fit, let's talk. You deserve peace.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that most pain comes relationally (our relationship with ourselves, our relationship with others, etc), and that much of our healing must happen relationally- that's one reason why therapy is so powerful! I believe that our brains and bodies intuitively know how to heal, and often we just need to help set them up to find this healing. As a queer person who grew up in the Bible Belt, I am fiercely protective of my LGBTQ+ community. Although I am queer, I recognize my privilege in other areas and am committed to ongoing learning and cultural humility in order to provide a space of healing for clients. I am committed to offering and maintaining a space where all clients can openly discuss and explore all of an individual's beliefs, values, and behaviors. I believe that all bodies are good, food isn't moral, and that humans are worth way more than what diet culture has taught us.
