About My Clients
I work with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, self harm, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse, bipolar disorder, domestic violence, and self esteem. I understand how difficult it is for individuals to reach out for help and to connect with someone. I want to make this process as simple as possible by providing you with a safe space to talk about your most inner thoughts and feelings.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in mental health since 2015 and fell in love with it after first working in the community with individuals struggling with chronic mental illness like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and never looked back from there. After that I began working inpatient at a psychiatric facility on the adolescent, adult, and substance abuse units where I learned crisis skills and found out I am really good at connecting with individuals 12 and up. During this time I was completing my masters degree in social work. I began interning with an outpatient IOP program for substance abuse. I completed my masters degree in social work in 2017, immediately testing for my LSW, and after 3000+ hours of supervision, I obtained my LCSW and CADC in June 2020. I currently work at a psychiatric facility and have been for 2 and half years in which I help individuals obtain mental health services, advocate for patients, and provide crisis stabilization.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that everyone can use a therapist. We all struggle at times and can use someone in our lives who are non judgemental, informative, and offer a safe space to talk about issues without having to watch what we say and how we say it. I am inclusive of all cultures, races, and communities including LGBTQ+. I believe in equal rights for all and advocate for women's issues. My main goal is to provide validation, empower you, and be a support.
