About My Clients
In my practice, I see individual adults. I enjoy working on healing relationships (with yourself and with others) and with clients in transition: starting a new career, beginning college, leaving a long term relationship, etc. I prioritize establishing your innate strengths and skills. Together, we will identify ways to use these characteristics to identify healthy coping strategies to utilize when life gets challenging.
My Background and Approach
Prior to starting my private practice, I worked in community mental health which gifted me with irreplaceable experience with a wide range of clinical issues and training opportunities. I implement both brief and long term therapy. In brief-oriented solution focused therapy, we work together to identify your goals, steps to meeting these goals, address barriers, and identify ways to overcome these obstacles. I also provide long-term exploratory therapy in which we examine your life experiences, relationships, and challenges. We then identify patterns in your behaviors and thinking styles that may no longer serve you. I utilize CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) to assist you in confronting these patterns so that we can identify new, healthy thoughts and behaviors so that you can live your most fulfilling life.
