About My Clients
My clients present issues related to isolation, depression, loneliness, and anxiety around either missing out or the unknown. I am very passionate about working with children, teens, and young adults to create connection, contentment in their lives and resilience. My clients present with traumas they seek to heal and relationship issues they seek to better. My clients are engaged, reliable, and respect the therapeutic process and are patient with the time it might take.
My Background and Approach
I have been in private practice since 2012 and really enjoy working with clients and helping them navigate life in a better way. I am from Berlin, Germany, and embrace the multicultural environment I grew up in and learned to understand various people with vasting difficulties. My goal to become a therapist was based on not knowing myself growing up, how to help and support myself in certain aspects, and wanting to bring that to everyone I could. I studied at the U of MN and received my Clinical Child Psychology BS there and then received my Doctoral Degree at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. My approaches include: Yoga-based techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, DBT, and Walk and Talk Therapy .
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Sometimes, life can be very tough, and I created my practice, Life Ripples, to resemble that. Certain experiences spill over into your life. I believe in a harmonious world where individuals can thrive to lift each other up and create community and kindness. Dan Siegel, in his book “Mwe," asks about that a lot. My interests include reading novels, books related to therapy, walking, exercising, and using Yoga and Mindfulness to keep me calm. I have a husband and three teenage kids who I adore. I love traveling, especially to new places and exploring art in various shapes or forms.
