My Background and Approach
As a trauma-informed clinician, I am always asking WHY. There are reasons children act the way they do, and I am here to help you figure out where certain behaviors are coming from. Together we will look at brain development and fine tune your parenting responses. Trauma informed parenting is not just for children who have experienced trauma. My trauma informed lens provides me a unique ability to look at the entire family system and provide appropriate education and psychosocial support, helping parents maintain respectful relationships with consistent and clear boundaries. With my experience in healthcare, I saw families at some of their most challenging moments, realizing the need for families to feel supported once they were home. I also work with families who have children with chronic or acute medical experiences including new diagnosis education, diagnosis processing, regressions/challenging behavior, sibling support, as well as children of adults with chronic illness.
