About My Clients

I enjoy working with teens, adults, and families navigating stress, identity questions, life transitions, or trauma. I specialize in foster care and adoption, blended families, and neurodiversity. Clients who benefit most from my approach appreciate a calm space, honest feedback, and concrete tools that help them feel more in control of their lives. I can incorporate faith-based, Christian counseling if desired or we can keep it neutral - sessions are intended to help you however you need!

My Background and Approach

I am an LCSW-Supervisor with 16 years of experience supporting teens, adults, and families through life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, and identity exploration. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment-based care, blending TBRI, CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and practical skill-building. Clients often share that my style feels calm, direct, and supportive—they feel understood and leave sessions with clear next steps. I pay close attention to each person’s story, including cultural, developmental, and family context, so our work feels both personalized and effective. My goal is to help you clarify what matters most, build on your existing strengths, and create meaningful changes that support emotional balance, resilience, and healthier relationships. Whether you are navigating family changes, grief, general stress, significant trauma, or major life transitions, I offer a space that honors your experience and moves at your pace.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should honor both the complexity and the resilience of each person’s story. As an adoptive parent in a blended, cross-racial, neurodiverse family, I understand firsthand how identity, transition, and family dynamics shape our daily lives. This lived experience deepens my empathy and informs the support I offer to clients navigating similar paths. I value compassion, cultural humility, and practical problem-solving. I am passionate about supporting families, advocating for trauma-informed systems, and increasing access to mental health care—especially for those whose stories are often overlooked. Outside of work, I enjoy being active with my kids, spending time outdoors, and finding small creative projects that bring joy and grounding.
