About My Clients
You may be used to holding a lot together, showing up, taking care of things, and keeping going, while feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and disconnected from yourself underneath. You might notice the same patterns repeating, or feel unsure what you actually want. I work with adults navigating early relational wounds, identity, burnout, and the weight of living in a world that wasn’t built with you in mind.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience in community mental health and relational work. I’ve supported people across a range of settings, including crisis stabilization, outpatient care, and community-based programs. That experience gives me a grounded understanding of how challenges show up in real life. My work is relational and depth-oriented, with a focus on helping you understand the patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others. I’m trained in NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) and Brainspotting, and I draw on DBT-informed tools when they’re useful. Together, we’ll slow things down and make sense of what’s been hard to understand, working toward a stronger sense of clarity, self-trust, and connection in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m a Black woman, a feminist, and a dancer. I’m interested in how the body holds experience, and how healing can happen in ways that go beyond words. I’m committed to therapy that is culturally grounded, politically aware, and genuinely human. I believe in showing up, in my own life and in the world, and I bring that same commitment into my work. I hold a secular worldview and am intentional about creating a space that feels open and respectful for people whose identities, beliefs, or lived experiences haven’t always been fully understood or supported. Much of my work is with women, especially Black women and women of color, LGBTQ+ clients, and people navigating identity, burnout, and the weight of living in a world that wasn’t built with them in mind.
