My Background and Approach
I hold a PhD in Psychology from North Central University as well as a Master's in Human Services with Specialization in Marital, Couples and Family from Capella University. I am licensed in the states of California, Hawaii and Virginia. My approach to therapy is solution focused, client centered and eclectic to meet the individual needs of clients. I work with teens, couples, adults 18+ and older adults using approaches such as Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, structural, and narrative therapy. I believe while life’s challenges provide us an opportunity to persevere in situations, behaviors may result as a way to meet that need or situation. I believe in working with you, as a partner to help you identify the solutions that will meet your unique and personal needs. I approach providing services by honoring and respecting our uniqueness and differences.
