About My Clients

My clients are womxn, genderqueer, and nonbinary folx; parents seeking clarity and more peaceful ways of relating; adults in all life stages; anyone struggling to make sense of their childhood; those recovering from loss and trauma; anyone seeking to recover from the impact of oppression on their well-being. We all find ourselves struggling at times. I welcome the chance to journey with you toward greater self-awareness, creativity, and connection.

My Background and Approach

I am a white cis bi woman married to a Filipino cis man, mother of two kids, and a LGBTQIA-affirmative therapist. My experience includes working with caregivers and their young children, and with womxn, genderqueer, and nonbinary folx to address anxiety, depression, work, relationships, and family issues. I have practiced Buddhist insight meditation for fifteen+ years. My approach is compassionate, somatic, mindful, and informed by attachment theory and childhood development as well as a recognition of how we are shaped by social systems. I am inspired by a depth approach to human experience, and support you in finding your own inner knowing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am passionate about helping you make sense of your struggles, hopes, and strengths, by looking within—and without, to your identities, relationships, and society. Working with me will include mindful awareness of body sensations and emotions, active inner inquiry, and working with the present to understand—and heal—the influence of the past. Overall, my approach is collaborative and rooted in curiosity and kindness, toward all parts of ourselves, in the interest of aiding you to reach a greater sense of wholeness. I emphatically believe that no one is broken, and that change is possible. I want for you what you want for yourself. I believe in meeting you where you are, with compassion for this shared human condition and a recognition of our differences. I look forward to meeting you.
