About My Clients
My clients often find that they are not living the version of life they expected or want to be living. My clients come in to address worry, panic attacks, overthinking, perfectionism, painful memories, and/or unwanted intrusive thoughts. My clients want to feel less limited and restricted by these experiences and want to be able to embrace their lives more fully.
My Background and Approach
I work with people on getting unstuck from thoughts, emotions, and coping patterns that take them away from the life they want to lead. I provide evidence-based therapy that is backed by science, with compassion and a gentle curiosity. I offer concrete strategies that help my clients understand and address their emotional distress. I deliver individual psychotherapy from the following approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and exposure therapy. I am passionate about helping others live personally meaningful, enriching lives. I have a collaborative style and personalize care to each client’s individual needs. I take the time to understand my clients’ experiences as well as the tangible, lasting change they want and deserve. I love helping clients not only reduce their suffering but also thrive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I named my private practice Anxiety and Wellness Psychological Services because of my dual focus on both. People come to me because they want to see a specialist in the anxiety field. They also come to me because they want to be able to build a life that feels personally meaningful. I think understanding and addressing both is key. I will also share that people who feel intensely and deeply are some of my favorite people. So many people feel overwhelmed by big intense emotions and/or unrelenting thoughts. These same people generally have gigantic, loving hearts. For anyone with this experience, having the tools and skills to navigate intense emotional storms becomes critical. You deserve support. You deserve strategies. You do not have to do this alone.
