About My Clients
In 25 years in healthcare working with patients, families, and professionals I have had the privilege of meeting with people in moments of deep challenge – facing a life limiting diagnosis, adjusting to life without a loved one, making end of life decisions, adjusting to new roles, and balancing competing demands of caregiving and self-care. I have also spent many years supporting and leading health care professionals.
My Background and Approach
I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Master's degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. Life brings many challenges that are tough to face alone. Too often we are not given space to let the full force of our grief or struggle be outwardly expressed. Counseling offers that space. I hope to meet you where you are, to take time to understand your unique story and help you find a path towards balance and wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we carry within ourselves strength and resources to face and grow through challenges but too often we are not allowed to fully express and explore our feelings and tell our stories. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, open and accepting of all.
