My style is warm, tender, open, real, respectful, humble, and I appreciate infusing a sense of humor. Right at the outset of therapy, I aim to create a trusting therapeutic alliance to anchor the work. Trust precedes vulnerability, opening up about wounds, and certainly meaningful and lasting changes and relationships.
I believe therapy is an oasis of safety where you can be yourself, a sanctuary for your deepest thoughts, feelings, experiences, memories, and desires. During sessions, I offer insights, reflections, help explore thoughts, feelings, memories, and values and goals, and sometimes just listen and be with you in the moment.
In the process, you’ll be more aware of what is and isn’t working for you, discover new perspective and approach to the problem, unearth your strengths, connect with your life values and goals, heed your personal and ancestral wisdom, and celebrate you.
