About My Clients
You feel everything intensely and have spent years being careful about how much of that you let through. You are perceptive, accomplished, and fully exhausted. You hold space for everyone else while secretly protecting them from the full weight of your own intense inner world. You long for deep connection and privately fear you are too much for it. You have never quite believed that who you are at full strength is something another person would choose to stay close to.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed therapist with advanced training in EMDR and somatic-based approaches, specializing in trauma and chronic anxiety. I have spent years working with women who are exceptionally good at understanding themselves and still cannot seem to shift the patterns that exhaust them most. That gap, between insight and felt change, is where my work lives. My approach is relational and body-based. I work with your nervous system, not just your narrative, because the experiences that shaped you were not stored as stories. They were stored as sensation, reflex, and response. EMDR and somatic-based therapy reach those places. Extended sessions of 60, 90, or 120 minutes give us the space to actually get there. I serve clients across Washington State and Iowa via telehealth, accessible from wherever you have privacy. If you are ready to stop arriving as a carefully edited version of yourself, I would like to hear from you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people heal in relationship and that when one person heals, the people around them get a little more room to breathe too. That's not a metaphor. It's what I've watched happen, over and over, in this work. I care about justice. I'm a human rights and social justice advocate who works with a lot of people who have dedicated their careers to advocating for others — physicians, attorneys, social workers — and I take seriously the cost that work extracts. Helpers need help too. That's not weakness. That's math. I'm drawn to the wisdom that shows up across spiritual traditions as framework not doctrine. Different traditions have been mapping the terrain of human suffering and resilience for thousands of years. I find that useful. If you do too, there's room for that here. If you don't, that's fine too. I'm a straight ally, affirming of all gender identities and relationship structures, and committed to creating a space where you can bring all the parts of yourself.
