About My Clients
Come as you are! I'm here as a compassionate guide to walk alongside you, collaborate with you to make solid game plans, find peace or acceptance around things that you've been carrying or to help you find solutions that feel realistic for where you're at on your journey. Oddly, my two therapy passions are grief and sex! I work with individuals and couples (of all kinds), ages 19 to Dumbledore age!
My Background and Approach
I'm no stranger to grief, having most recently lost my Dad (on a holiday, no less - thanks a lot Dad!). I empathize and understand the wild ride of loss and how uprooting that transition can be. This is a topic I am passionate about and take the approach of "human to human" when working with someone experiencing a loss - whether it's a spouse, sibling, lover, friend or your beloved pet, I am here to listen and help you figure out how to keep putting one foot in front of the other. On the flip side, I also love working with women and couples who would like to strengthen their intimacy with self or partner(s). No topic is off limits and I create a safe space to discuss things you might not otherwise feel comfortable doing. Finally, if you're anxious AF, wanting to make a big change in your life, having a mid-life crisis or wanting to figure out how to feel better about yourself, those are all things I love to help with too!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm an advocate of Attachment parenting. I'm a homeschooling Mom of an only child (teenager!). My family and I rescue dogs and adopt a turkey every year from the Farm Sanctuary. If you come to my office for in person sessions, my dogs are looming in the next room. If we meet virtually, you must introduce me to your pets! I'm a huge fantasy nerd and love Harry Potter, LOTR/Hobbit and Star Wars. Disney World is my happy place and I go as often as I can. I love to read, travel, bake, tap dance and write. I'm a Pagan/Buddhist who loves visiting cemeteries, reading about near death experiences, contemplating the universe and trying to demystify death and dying.
