About My Clients
Does your child or teen often feel different from their peers, isolated and alone, or as though no one could possibly understand what they are going through? Do they often question why they have certain thoughts? Why their brain works the way it does? Your child may be yearning to feel understood and less alone in this world. By providing a safe and supportive environment, your child may begin to better understand themselves and the world around them.
My Background and Approach
In my practice, I combine both my own personal experience with mental health issues as a child and adolescent with professional training as a clinical mental health counselor. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who experience behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, low self-esteem/self-worth, neurodivergence, and more. As a Play Therapy informed therapist with specialized training in treating ADHD, I engage children and teens on their level in a way that best supports healthy growth and development.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As someone who has personally experienced mental health struggles from a very young age, I understand how isolating it can be to feel "different." My own experience with mental health is what drove me to become a counselor, and I feel it allows me the unique ability to bring a greater level of awareness and insight into the therapeutic relationship.
