About My Clients
For my clients, these layers of oppression may result in anxiety, depression, trauma, and racial identity concerns. We'll work together to process your experience, draw out your strengths, and support your goals. I love working with Asian American adults, and other People of Color, to connect the impacts of history, oppression, and culture on mental health and wellbeing. If you are interested in exploring how facets of your identity and culture have affected your experience, I may be a good fit!
My Background and Approach
In session, I draw from narrative, compassion-focused, embodied, and anti-oppressive approaches as well as my own lived experience of marginalization. If your cultural experience has been left out of therapy in the past, I can be a good fit. I have received training in approaches such as psychoanalysis, CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and somatic experiencing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are all essentially good, loving, creative, and courageous, but oppression hinders our ability to see that and act from that deep truth. With unconditional support, we can release the distress, nourish our resilience, and live out our values. I am a lifelong learner and engage in my own emotional healing work as a foundation of providing good therapy to others.
