About My Clients
Clients often come to me with feelings of anxiety, burnout and hopelessness. Oftentimes, their stress has led to physical ailments such as chronic illness or pain. Many of my clients also identify as sensitive, people-pleasers, queer, neurodivergent, or just somehow different. I help my clients come back into their power, set boundaries, and feel calm and full of life.
My Background and Approach
I received a my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA and my master’s in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco. This informs my clinical approach as holistic - attending to mind, body, and spirit in my practice. CIIS, known for the world’s first psychedelic assisted therapy program, is also where I began deepening my understanding of psychedelic assisted psychotherapy. I hold a Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy certification from Journey Clinical and use ketamine in my psychotherapy practice. After graduate school, I trained at the Southern California Counseling Center (SCCC), a low-fee community clinic in Los Angeles and assisted with research on neuroplasticity and brain retraining for chronic illness at the Chronic Conditions Research Fund. My approach is psychodynamic, relational, somatic, and transpersonal. I bring my natural gentleness, warmth, and humor to session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Trained with a sociological background, I understand the therapeutic relationship in the context of the oppressive systems we occupy. This lens was emphasized by my years working in community mental health at a residential treatment center, helping facilitate reparative relationships between homeless and runaway youth and their families. It is impossible to separate our individual experiences from the collective. Part of my holisitc approach involves this systems lens. I also personally identify as spiritual and can help you connect to what "spiritually" means for you. Whether you feel that spark of connection through nature, art, or relationships, figuring this out may be an important part of healing. I will also help you identify your purpose and help you make meaning of difficult experiences.
