About My Clients
Reaching out to a therapist is a courageous and healthy way to take care of yourself. Perhaps you’re here because of a loss or trauma, a life transition, or a relationship challenge. Or maybe it’s a feeling of stuckness or pain, or a sense of fear or shame that prevents you from expressing important parts of yourself. Whatever brings you here, I am confident that working through your suffering within the safety of a trusting relationship can give you relief and help you live more authentically.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm and interactive. Therapy is a space where you can explore all aspects of yourself, recognizing that the sources of your distress can be complex and often outside of your immediate awareness. I have advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and the treatment of trauma. I bring a social justice lens to the work, and I have significant experience working with trauma stemming from experiences of marginalization and oppression. My hope is to provide you with a safe and open space where you can feel heard, seen, and supported.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Self-exploration within the context of a deep connection with a therapist can bring healing to past wounds, awaken awareness to the present, and create a way forward guided by self-compassion, understanding, and intention, rather than reaction and habit. I feel truly honored to be able to help people develop more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others and create joy and meaning in their lives. I would love to connect with you to see if we would be a good fit! Please feel free to reach out to me for a free phone consultation. I am open to questions and feedback at any point during our work together.
