About My Clients
If you’ve struggled with intrusive thoughts, anxiety that won’t quit, or sensations of panic, I know how hard it is to feel seen in the therapy room. Sometimes, no matter how often we practice mindful breathing or try to explore the “why” behind the feeling - the urge to avoid, escape, and hide won’t go away. You’re not alone, and there is a way forward.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with anything in the anxiety disorder category from generalized anxiety to OCD, agoraphobia, panic disorder, and a few others. I use evidence-based strategies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention, and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my work. I offer Telehealth sessions as well as community based exposure sessions. "Community based" means that I meet you in a public setting (in St. Petersburg FL) where we can practice functional exposures. Functional and individualized care is incredibly important to me. Research backed therapy and collaboration are core values at the center of my clinical practice. With each client, I work to develop a personalized treatment plan customized to their unique needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Empowering people to get back to a life they love and re-engage with what’s most important to them is what I’m all about. We're in a culture that pushes consumerism and productivity above all else, and it has left many of us unsure of our purpose, values, or core beliefs. I believe that exploring personal values and engaging with meaningful activities is an essential part of creating a sustainable, and unique life you love. In the past I've worked with survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and helped create educational materials to raise awareness about these issues.
