About My Clients

Are you someone who searches for belonging or who wonders what your purpose is? Do you experience waves of depression or anxiety? Do you long to live more fully and authentically as yourself? I’m a therapist in Seattle and I love to help clients address these issues, and many more. I work with adult individuals, including LGBTQ+ folks, artists, writers, healers, perfectionists, and anyone who finds themselves feeling lost, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and others.

My Background and Approach

I use an existential and feminist lens to help clients explore and address the roots of anxiety, disconnection, and a lack of meaning in their lives and rediscover a sense of empowerment and connection. My style is collaborative and client-centered. In other words, I trust that you are the expert on your own experience. Rather than directing you, I will empower you to create your own meaning of your experiences and to find your internal voice and strength. I also enjoy exploring how your experiences have been shaped by broader systems and I welcome conversations around privilege and oppression, if you wish for these conversations to be a part of our work. I see therapy as an invitation and opportunity to become more fully and bravely yourself.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

We live in a society that often gives us the message that in some way we are not enough. Given this, it’s no surprise that so many of us blame ourselves for our struggles and feel weighed down by a sense of shame. But our complicated and challenging emotions are often bound up in a much greater and more complex set of circumstances and systems: old family stories, unspoken but persistent societal messages around parts of our identities, coping mechanisms we once needed for our survival but can’t seem to let go of. I believe these struggles can all make sense given enough curiosity and compassion, and through understanding we can begin to make change. At the heart of my approach is my belief in the healing power of relationships and my primary goal is to understand you as a person and what you may need from our relationship. I am also sex positive, queer friendly, trans affirming, and I take a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach to struggles around body image.
