About My Clients
My clients are often navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, school, work, or the pressure of trying to hold everything together. You may be an adult finding your footing, a college student figuring out what comes next, or a parent looking for support for your child or teen. You don’t have to arrive with the perfect words or even know exactly what you need. Come as you are. We’ll uncover your strengths, build practical tools, and plant seeds for meaningful growth.
My Background and Approach
With over 20 years of experience as a clinical social worker, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, teens, adults, and families through anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, school concerns, and the beautifully complicated experience of being human. My approach is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to the person sitting in front of me. I draw from evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing, somatic strategies, play and creative interventions, while recognizing that therapy is never one-size-fits-all. I believe you are the expert on your life. My role is to walk alongside you, ask thoughtful questions, offer new perspectives and practical tools, and sometimes help you recognize strengths that life has made you forget you have. Expect compassion, authenticity, curiosity, and yes, sometimes humor. At Garden of Hearts Therapy, we meet you where you are and grow from there
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there is power in having a space where you can simply be human: imperfect, growing, figuring things out, and occasionally laughing along the way. I value authenticity, compassion, curiosity, and meeting people without judgment. Outside of the therapy room, I’m a gardener, fragrance enthusiast, lifelong learner, dog mom, and firm believer in finding small pockets of joy wherever we can. You’ll often find me growing something in my garden, discovering a new fragrance, curled up with a good book, or learning something new just because I can. I believe wellness can look different for each of us. Sometimes it’s doing the deeper work, and sometimes it’s noticing what brings you peace, reconnecting with yourself, and giving yourself permission to enjoy your life while you’re still growing. I bring that same philosophy into therapy: growth matters, but so does learning to appreciate the garden while it’s blooming.
