About My Clients
If you’re feeling lost or unsure where to start, you’re not alone. I understand the stigma around mental health, especially in marginalized and underserved communities. I support teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, ADHD, and relationship challenges with a holistic, person-centered approach grounded in care, compassion, and cultural humility. Together, we’ll explore your story, honor your lived experiences, and create meaningful strategies to support your well-being.
My Background and Approach
I’m a pre-licensed LPCC and a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota, where I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My training emphasized culturally responsive, trauma-informed care, and I bring that lens into every session. As a newer clinician, I approach this work with openness, humility, and a deep commitment to ongoing learning. I integrate a holistic, person-centered, and humanistic framework, grounded in care, compassion, and cultural humility. I understand that each client brings unique lived experiences shaped by individual, relational, and systemic factors—and I aim to honor that complexity in the therapy space. I know it can feel intimidating to begin therapy, especially if you’re feeling unsure where to start. My goal is to meet you where you are, walk alongside you, and co-create a space that supports healing, empowerment, and meaningful growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Cambodian American I recognized that as a therapist of color, using a humanistic approach is important to me because it honors the whole person—your identity, culture, and lived experience. In a system that often overlooks people of color, this approach creates space for authenticity, self-determination, and healing without judgment. I believe you are the expert of your life, and together we’ll challenge internalized messages and create a space where you can feel seen, safe, and empowered.
