About My Clients

If you see the world just a little bit differently, then I bet you we will get along. I enjoy working with those who are challenging the status quo, pushing the envelope, and encouraging others around them to do the same. People come to me for therapy that has integrity, is grounded in right relationship, and meets them wherever they are. They often want healthier relationships, to find deeper meaning in their lives, and rediscover themselves after huge life transitions.

My Background and Approach

My background is in Environmental Biology, where I studied under the likes of Robin Wall Kimmerer, PhD. I learned the ways in which our Earth’s living systems evolved, interact, and adapt to change. The human psyche evolved within these natural systems, and we can often gain a greater understanding of ourselves when we consider ALL the systems within which we live —nature, society, family, relationships. I approach healing with this holistic lens in mind. We are not independent entities, but interconnected living beings in constant flux with one another. I take a person-centered approach to counseling, which means that the most important aspect of treatment is the therapeutic relationship itself. I have many tools in my therapeutic toolbelt, but ultimately I believe that you are the expert of your own experience, and I am there to walk beside you as you find the answers to the questions you have been asking. My job is to offer insight, support, and unconditional acceptance.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in reparations for marginalized communities, an end to genocide and the crime of war, rights and protections for all living beings, and right relationships with each other and the land. My community is highly neurodivergent, queer, and chronically ill, which means we are deeply affected by issues such a social injustice, the climate crisis, and systematic marginalization. I believe that everyone has a right to housing, food, and accessible work. I am an ally to the BIPOC community, and constantly committed to challenging the ways in which racism lives in me.
