About My Clients

Clients who seek my support are at an intersection in life; seeking balance and resolution between internal and external expectations found in their relationships, family, identity, career, society, etc. I support clients in peeling back the layers of themselves - to gain a deeper and broader perspective on who they are and who they want to become. BIPOC and multicultural individuals in particular benefit from this lens.

My Background and Approach

I am person-centered, somatic-focused practitioner whose approach is both practical and deepening. While adept at solution-oriented approaches, I also integrate mind/body strategies, neurobiology, narrative & depth psychology. In other words, clients who work with me gain a variety of useful and meaningful tools for immediate and long-term problems. My personal style is rooted in authenticity and immediacy. Experiences in the therapeutic relationship give insight into the true nature of you. I will also encourage you to learn about yourself in the places where you feel uncomfortable. We will use those moments to create tools, narratives, tolerance for discomfort, resolution, awareness, and compassion.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Everyone has the essential ingredients for transformation. Clients are seen through the balanced lens of their greatest potential and challenges. The most common feedback that I have received from my clients is about my honest approach to their problems and my ability to see quickly to the heart of an issue. My clients have also reported that one of the most healing and effective aspects of working with me is the focus, consistency, and continuity that I maintain from session to session towards client's goals. Also, that I allow myself to be human with my clients; offering a corrective experience for how healthy relational experiences can feel. I believe that the greatest potential for healing and personal development is to create enough trust with clients so that they can use therapy as the rehearsal stage for what they want to shed and how they want to change.
