I have a passion for creating a compassionate space for anyone experiencing life challenges and supporting individuals to find the best coping skills and resiliency skills to meet goals and heal from traumas. My experience working in underserved areas in community based healthcare has increased my knowledge of community resources, and trauma and community resiliency models.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at Foresight. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Redlands University with an emphasis in Social Justice. I have specialty trainings in Nurturing Parenting Supports and perinatal and maternal mental health. I have a passion for supporting people from adolescence through older adulthood through cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapies as well as solution focused strength based interventions. I want to help guide the process of understanding how the brain works and how emotions, thoughts and behaviors impact our overall health. My specialty areas are mood disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, stress management and perinatal/parental mental health.
