About My Clients

You might be feeling more sad, angry, worried, or lonely than usual. If you are Black, Indigenous, a person of color, queer, trans, gender expansive, or live with a disability, you may be tired of being strong. You may notice certain spaces where you don’t feel comfortable being your full self. In therapy you can feel understood, valued, and empowered to heal and grow. In therapy you can explore and celebrate your culture, your wisdom, your strengths, and your identities.

My Background and Approach

My approach is informed by Existential-Humanism, feminism, and multiculturalism. I integrate interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and racial stress. I provide individual and group counseling for adults, and child-centered play therapy & child-parent relationship therapy for children ages 3-8. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Portland State University with a focus in chronic illness and disability. I believe each client has the capacity for healing and self-actualization. I bring genuine empathy, acceptance, curiosity, and hope into my relationship with clients so they may feel understood, valued, and empowered to move towards growth at every point in the lifespan. I celebrate my clients’ unique culture, wisdom, strengths, & identities; explore how systems of power and oppression impact their well-being; and support clients in making meaning in their lives & relationships
