My Background and Approach
I am Sofia C. Arras, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with 18 years of healthcare experience. I specialize in psychiatry for children, adults, and seniors, treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, schizophrenia, OCD, and eating disorders. My extensive background includes work in med-surg, neurology, geriatrics, and rehab settings, along with mental health assessments and holistic care. In addition to clinical practice, I’ve taught mental health and advanced nursing at universities, staying current with best practices. My treatment philosophy emphasizes open communication, comprehensive care, and education to empower clients to achieve lasting mental wellness.
