About My Clients
Are you noticing increased stress in your life? You may have a good group of trusted people who you usually rely on but you may not want to burden them right now because everyone is going through a lot. If you want to address workplace stress, life transitions, burnout, anxiety, or depression, my practice might be a good fit. I view counseling as a collaborative process, where we create a realistic plan to help you listen to yourself and identify strategies to meet your goals.
My Background and Approach
In order to help you meet your goals, I prioritize creating an environment where we can explore and address your concerns together. Together, we can identify ways to make use of your strengths and also identify and shift possible patterns that might be getting in the way of your growth. Professional Training: I wanted to learn flexible ways of providing care that are attentive to my clients’ histories, experiences, and values. To help achieve this goal, I got a PhD in Psychology. I chose to engage in practice and research across specializations, such as therapist training, self-image/self-worth, and identity-related concerns. In addition to providing individual and group counseling to adults, I enjoy supporting other therapists as a supervisor/consultant.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My training really highlights my values and beliefs, and I think gives you a helpful glimpse of what work might look like with me. I continue to engage in professional activities since I think this form of connection allows me to contribute, learn, and evolve as our world/knowledge evolves so that I can offer the best care possible to those who seek my support. At present, I'm a member of the New York State Psychological Association and the Asian American Psychological Association. As a way to take psychology out of the therapy room, I write guest posts and blogs on burnout recovery, stress management, and navigating change. When I'm doing non-psychology things, I enjoy reading, watching shows, and exploring the city primarily through food and art.
