In my Masters program, Person-centered therapy was the foundational theory that I was trained in for over of 3 years. I came to love it, because it emphasizes that the client is the master of their own world and the clinician is there to help guide them. I value the core concepts of acceptance, being non-judgmental, unconditional positive regard and empathy. By sticking to these values, I believe that a trusting, working relationship can be built and used as a powerful therapeutic tool.

My approach to therapy is flexible and adaptable, according to what the client may need in that moment. Each human being is incredibly unique, so one technique may work with one person and not another. I enjoy being in the moment with clients and allowing myself to be creative in the way we journey through therapy together. One day art may be helpful, another mindfulness, and perhaps sand tray in another session. Each session I try to keep an open mind about what can be helpful.

Depth therapy refers to accessing parts of ourselves that may be deep within us, or in the subconscious. In my practice, I aim to help people become aware of those parts of themselves and to work through those emotions and experiences. The result is becoming a more whole and integrated human being, one who can bring to light their hidden parts, soothe them and gain awareness.

Sexuality is a topic that is tough for many people to talk about and it's even harder to seek help when we are experiencing sexual problems. Maybe you have sexual pain, low desire, erectile dysfunction, are questioning your sexual identity, or premature ejaculation. Though not an exhaustive list, these are all natural occurrences for human beings and they can cause significant distress. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to gently and effectively work through these issues with you.

Gender identities and Sexual orientations fall on vast, vibrant spectrums and are wonderful to behold. I love helping folx explore their identities, their expressions, helping to heal from trauma, and living their truths. As a member of the LBGTQ community, I have experienced how difficult it can be to live one's truth in a world that discriminates against "others". It brings me joy to provide a safe and compassionate space for LGBTQ folx in which to grow, heal and shine.
