Has there been a recent death in your family, and you’d like your child to receive some extra support? Grief is a powerful emotion and some people need the additional support of a caring and empathetic therapist. It would be my honor to guide your child through their grief journey and help your child work through their feelings in a safe and meaningful way.

I exclusively work with children between the ages of 3-8 years old. I offer child-centered play therapy as well as sandplay therapy in order to treat a wide variety is issues, including, healing from trauma, grief, issues of adjustment/transitions, abuse/neglect, and childhood depression. I am a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) with the Association for Play Therapy. I exclusively work with children between the ages of 3-8 years old, via child-centered play therapy and sandplay therapy. Young children play about their experiences, thoughts, and feelings as a natural process to help them to understand what is going on in their young lives. Play therapy taps into children's natural drive to play, in a way that helps them to heal, grow, and move forward in their lives.

My office is filled with figurines and toys with which you child can use to create a sandtray or "mini-world" in order to express their unconscious material. As a sandplay therapist, I hold the safety in the space and the relationship so that your child is free to create in the sand that which is beyond words to express. Some clients say that doing sandplay is like "dreaming, while awake." And like dreams, oftentimes, important material comes up as an offering to work through and overcome.

As a person-centered therapist, I believe that we all have the ability to grow and change if given the right circumstances. In my office, your child will have the freedom to be who they want, say what they want, play however they want to, with limits only being set for safety. With these freedoms in place, you child will be able to explore the issues for which they are coming to therapy in a safe, supportive environment and therapeutic relationship.
