About My Clients
Are you navigating the impacts of trauma, exploring your identity, or adjusting to life with chronic illness? Perhaps you're a climber or athlete struggling with anxiety around movement, injury, or your relationship with your sport. I work with LGBTQIA+ adults, climbers and athletes, people navigating life transitions, students, and older adults. My practice offers space to explore how your experiences, relationships, and environment shape your sense of self and well-being.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate (LICSWA) practicing under clinical supervision, with a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. My experience spans gender-affirming care, integrated healthcare, and outpatient mental health, supporting clients navigating trauma, chronic illness, identity, and life transitions. My approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic and body-based practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and parts-informed work. I emphasize collaboration, curiosity, and consent, adapting therapy to your needs rather than expecting you to fit a particular approach. As a former competitive climber and climbing coach with 15 years of experience, I also understand the intersections of mental health, movement, injury, and athletic identity. Together, we'll explore patterns, build flexibility, and work toward meaningful change at your pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer, nonbinary person living with chronic illness, I value authenticity, self-determination, and creating spaces where people can exist without having to explain or justify who they are. My personal and professional values are rooted in social justice, LGBTQIA+ liberation, bodily autonomy, and environmental advocacy. I believe mental health cannot be separated from the social, political, and environmental systems that shape our lives. Outside of therapy, I find joy in rock climbing, yoga, hiking, music, and spending time in nature. My background in environmental studies and community organizing continues to shape how I understand connection, resilience, and collective care. I believe growth doesn't have to mean becoming someone different, but finding greater freedom to live in alignment with who you are.
