About My Clients
Are you having difficulty managing everything that comes with having a chronic illness? Do you struggle with intense rapidly changing emotions that feel like you're on a non-stop emotional roller coaster? Perhaps you're neurodivergent and looking for strategies to accommodate your needs? If you answered yes to any of these questions, I'd love to partner with you in learning practical skills and strategies to regulate your nervous system and make navigating challenging moments easier.
My Background and Approach
During treatment I integrate components of dialectical behavior therapy, somatic experiencing, person-centered therapy, and social rhythm therapy to meet each client's unique needs. The person-centered approach makes your needs and goals the core of the therapeutic process. Skills from DBT, SRT, and somatic experiencing will be used as needed to support you in meeting your goals. I'm always open to your feedback and want to do more of what works and less of what doesn't during therapy. I frequently find myself telling clients that there are hundreds of ways to therapeutically approach a problem, so if a part of treatment isn't working for you let me know and we'll try something different.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is doing the best they can and that all people are capable of growing to reach their goals. I'm a strong advocate for my clients getting their needs met in all areas of life and will happily coordinate care with other providers to make sure you're treatment team is on the same page. Growth happens when people feel comfortable being their genuine self, so I promise to meet you where you're at and allow you to lead the way when it comes to behavioral change.
