About My Clients
I specialize in the LGBTQ+ community because for me it's personal. I cherish the ability to help people celebrate their authentic selves. I am honored to help loved ones learn to accept and become allies to their families.
My Background and Approach
The cornerstone of therapy is trust. I approach treatment through the lens of transparency and authenticity. While I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I utilize other modalities, such as ACT, motivational interviewing, DBT and CPT, in order to tailor treatment to best suit the needs of the client. People are resilient. With the correct supports thriving is possible. Being in therapy myself has changed my life and I want to be that same support to my clients that my therapist was to me and help others to thrive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am currently a volunteer with the Free Mom Hugs organization, advocating for the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals. I am also a certified in domestic violence and wellness coaching. In addition I have volunteered with NAMI as a stigma watcher.
