About My Clients
I offer creative, embodied art therapy for artists, performers, and adults navigating identity, emotional pain, creative blocks, relationship challanges, and life transitions - especially BIPOC clients, LGBTQ+ clients, immigrant families, and neurodivergent individuals seeking a safe healing space. If you are feeling stuck, disconnected from yourself or others, unsure how to process what you are going through, or longing for a space where words alone cannot express enough, I am here for you.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist offering therapy in both English and Mandarin Chinese. My clinical experience includes adult inpatient psychiatry, addiction recovery, and outpatient mental health care. I have worked extensively with people from diverse backgrounds experiencing complex emotional, social, and life challenges. My approach is relational, person-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based. I believe that therapy can be more than labels or diagnoses. I aim to build connections with you through a humanistic lens, with curiosity, warmth, and respect for your lived experience. I see art-making in therapy as a meaningful process, a way to build resilience through adversities and nourish the soul. It can foster autonomy, hope, emotional regulation, and a sense of freedom. When we follow intuition and allow color, sound, movement, and metaphor to lead us, the heart begins to soften and awaken. We can feel connected again, with ourselves and with the world around us.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is deeply shaped by my own creative journey as a visual artist, dancer, and performer. I experience daily the powerful ways that creativity can support growth, healing, and personal transformation, and I hope to offer you a space where your own creative energy can grow and become a source of inspiration. In art therapy, expression can take many forms: drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, movement, dance, mindfulness, creative writing, acting, music, vocal exploration, imaginative play, and so much more. You do not need to be “good at art” to begin. The creative process is not about performance, but a way for you to dive deeper within yourself. In this space, you are invited to become the artist of your own story. I know finding a therapist can feel overwhelming. If what I am offering resonates with you, reach out. I offer a free 15-minute consultation and would love to see if we’re a good fit.
