About My Clients
You thought motherhood would be the happiest time of your life, but you are having some difficulty adjusting to your new role. Trying to conceive, being an expectant mother, or recently giving birth has left you struggling with worries, doubts, sadness, and even guilt. Finding a balance between your life as a mother, partner, daughter, friend, and professional is not out of your reach. If you want to feel like a better version of yourself again, I’d love to help you get there.
My Background and Approach
I received both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Welfare (MSW) from UCLA. While in graduate school, I completed my internships in community mental health and child welfare. I have provided counseling to a range of populations and in multiple settings, from foster youth in LA County to Depression Care Management and crisis intervention at Kaiser Permanente. I have also facilitated and developed support groups for postpartum women, children, teens, parents, and domestic violence survivors. I am mindful that each client has their own unique needs and base my holistic approach on different treatment modalities to produce positive change. Together we will work on ways to decrease the negative thoughts and feelings that you are currently dealing with. We will also work on developing coping skills in order for you to manage the day to day stress of being a mother.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy has always been a passion of mine as understanding human behavior piqued my curiosity as a young adult. Being on the other side of the chair showed me how powerful therapy can be in understanding myself and achieving long lasting change. As a therapist, my goal is to help my clients achieve mental wellness and reach their life goals. I provide therapy to adults and children from diverse backgrounds and also provide therapy in English and Spanish.
