About My Clients

I primarily work with BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities across a variety of concerns. Maybe you’ve spent so much time trying to meet the needs of others, navigate your identity, or fit into what your family, culture, or society expects that you’ve lost touch with what you actually want. Therapy can be a space to process, explore those experiences, and reconnect with yourself. I’ll meet you with empathy and without judgment as we work toward meaningful change.

My Background and Approach

My experiences with language, culture, family, education, socioeconomic status, race, community, and immigration have shaped how I understand people and mental health. They’ve also taught me that our struggles don’t happen in isolation. Our identities, relationships, communities, and the larger systems we navigate can influence how we understand ourselves, relate to others, and move through the world. Because of this, I approach therapy with curiosity, cultural humility, and an awareness of how my own identities and perspectives shape the way I show up in our work together. My approach is person-centered, collaborative, culturally responsive, and informed by decolonial and anti-oppressive perspectives. I believe you are the expert on your own lived experience, so therapy isn’t about me telling you who you should be or how you should live. I also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Relational-Cultural Therapy when appropriate and relevant to your goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I don’t expect you to fit into one particular therapeutic approach; I adapt the work to fit you. Together, we can deepen your understanding of yourself, reconnect with parts of you that may have gotten lost along the way, and recognize the strengths you already carry. You deserve a therapy space where all the different parts of you can show up, as we explore what healing, connection, growth, and a life that feels authentically yours might look like. I am part of the clinical team at the Aguirre Center for Inclusive Psychotherapy which specializes in serving the Latina/o/x/e and QBIPOC community.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
