About My Clients
My clients see me for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, dissatisfaction in relationship to self and/or others, coping mechanisms that are no longer serving them well, and difficulties with implementing behavioral changes. I have experienced all of the above and know what it takes to overcome the myriad of emotional challenges that come with life.
My Background and Approach
There is always room for growth. Sometimes we need to heal from a past wound or trauma while other times we need concrete tools to practice in order to create the lasting neurological changes that are necessary for the relief of symptoms that are getting in the way of our personal growth. I incorporate aspects of my training in Creative Arts Therapy, mindfulness-based somatic approaches, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in order to serve my clients wherever they are at in their therapeutic process. I take the time to get to know my clients- their strengths and resources, what is important to them, and what they want to get out of our time together- and from that foundation of a strong connection we work together to strengthen those resources, discover new ones, and implement techniques from the above disciplines and theoretical approaches so my clients can feel confident and energetic about life.
