My client’s are millennials who have tried to accomplish goals and meet expectations of others while becoming overwhelemd at maintaing all the roles and relationships in their lives. It can be stressful and hard trying to learn and unlearn ways to handle life's challenges and show up for yourself. Giving yourself permission to heal can help break the unwanted pattern of avoiding your needs and disconnection while creating room for growth.
My Background and Approach
In session the goal is to assist you in understanding all parts of your current and past self and identify the experiences that have shaped you into the person you are. While we process your life you can expect to hear slang, TikTok sounds and song lyrics to examine family dynamics, your emotional wellbeing, relationships, and sexual identity. This is a space where humor, sarcasm and authenticity are encouraged! I utilize a collaborative counseling style, focusing on person centered and solution focused modalities. This space will provide genuine support and patience while thoughtfully challenging you to pursue the therapeutic goals you set for yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Taking the leap to invest in your mental health can be overwhelming and scary. However, you don’t have to figure this out alone. There is space in therapy to explore any and all feelings that are new and old. I believe that finding a therapist that encourages your new love of social media influencing or sound baths is just as important as discussing difficult experiences. Such as, the daily microaggressions at work and understanding and breaking down toxic norms and patterns that hold you back from building healthy relationships and a better life experience. Let’s create room for the version of yourself you are growing into.
