About My Clients
I have worked as a social worker for over 11 years. I completed my master’s degree from The University Of Michigan and my undergraduate degree from Temple University. I have done extensive work with families, couples, and young adults. Much of my experience is with grief therapy, supporting those who are experiencing transitions in their lives (a common occurrence in many of our lives), caregiver support, anxiety, depression, chronic illnesses, personality disorders and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I am a strengths-based counselor. I believe that every one of us has the ability to grow and change. Often, we all need help realizing our true potential. I believe therapy is a partnership. I want to work on goals together that you want to achieve. Additionally, I have a certificate in Alternative and Integrative Medicine. I am able to incorporate mindfulness and meditations into our sessions. I believe that you should leave a therapy session feeling supported but challenged. I am also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma based therapy. We all have stories and beliefs that we have about ourselves, often challenging and confronting our stories leads to positive change.
